Project Scope: Preparation for Private Tarmac Driveway
BRL Civil Engineering was tasked with preparing all external works for a private tarmac driveway at the R Thornton project in Whitburn. The work involved careful groundwork and installation to ensure the site was ready for the final tarmac surfacing, which would be completed by another contractor.
Installed pin kerbs to define the edges of the driveway and provide structural integrity.
Positioned Aco channels to manage surface water drainage effectively and prevent pooling.
Completed high-quality flagging to enhance the driveway's appearance and usability.
Reset an existing manhole to the correct height to align with the driveway's new levels.
The area was carefully stoned up, creating a stable and even surface for the tarmac installation.
With the groundwork completed to a high standard, the tarmac surfacing was left for installation by others. This ensured a seamless handover, with the site fully prepped and ready for the final phase.
